Maine Cheese Festival – Pittsfield, ME, USA
The Maine Cheese Festival in Pittsfield is organized by the Maine Cheese Guild and goes into its 7th round.
In 2022 there were 12 judges, tasting over 116 cheeses from 22 creameries! I am sure 2023 will not stand behind!
Last but not least there will be food trucks as well as brewers ,wineries and music entertainment.
It´s a little event but afterwards you sure have an insight into the main Maine Cheese Scene!

Welcome to Monroe´s legendary Cheese festival!
Also in 2024 the city of Monroe, better known as the Swiss Cheese Capital of the US, hosts its legendary festival.
For the 110th anniversary there will be lots on offer – 3 days of cheese, drinks and music including a country side tour and dairy farm visit as well as guided tours to the national historic cheese making center.This is just to name a few.
But it would not be the Cheese Days if most certainly and importantly there will also be plenty of cheese!!

The * Festival del SILTER D.O.P * goes into its 5th round this year !
+Silter+ is a unique raw cow´s milk cheese of an inimitable taste, that takes its name from the room in the malga that was used for maturing the wheels.
The event starts Friday the 6th of January and will easily carry you through the whole weekend.

4.30 PM Music with Oscar Taboni follow cutting of the Silter DOP and inauguration of the festival in the presence of the authorities

4.00PM Silter meets Valle Camonica black thorny corn focaccia and rhubarb jam from the organic farm Shanty Maè, guided tasting by ONAF master tasters
Sunday 8 January
11.00AM Openn House with Silter Dop and other products from Valle Camonica
11.30AM Silter meets wines of Valle Camonica, guided tasting by the Consorzio tutela Vini IGT Valle Camonica and by the master tasters of ONAF. The guided tastings will take place at the Pro Loco headquarters.
Fiera del Formaggio di Fossa – Sogliano al Rubicone, Italy
Sunday the 4th of December is the last Sunday in a series of three that celebrates the pit cheeses of Sogliano al Rubicone!
As in previous years the Fair will be held in Sogliano sul Rubicone in Italy´s Forlì-Cesena province on the outer edge of the Emilia-Romagna.
The event that traditionally attracts thousands of visitors will offer food stands with pit cheese as well as other typical products from Italy and the area. And of course it wouldn´t be a festival if there would not also be lots of tastings, wine and performances.

Chocolate and Cheese definitely make a pair and therefore the organizers of this Alabama Festival thought why not dedicate a whole day to this!

November is the month of the pit cheese festivals! This one takes place in Talamello, a little town in Valmarecchia in the hinterlands of Rimini.
The cheeses ripen in hermetically sealed sandstone pits for about three months which gives those cheeses their specificslightly spicy and delicate taste.
This year the festival takes place on two consecutive sundays: November 13th and November 20th
In May 2022 the Balkan Cheese Festival will go into its 13th round!
With a focus on indigenous dairy products Belgrades Balkan Cheese Festival attracts visitors from near and far.
On two days you can fill up your bellies with more than 300 different cheeses – some you might already know and some that will surpise your taste bud knowledge to the very bone!

Itmight not be the oldest festival of Umbria but the organizers say they are very close to win that prize.
Around since the 1960ies the Sagra della Porchetta stands for quality, hospiitality and for a hell of a good time.
If you are not in the area, which you might be because Perugia and Assisi are just a stonethrow away – you should jump into your car, hop on a train or saddle your horse.
