29th Festival des AOC-AOP en Normandy – Cambremer , France
Since 1995 the festival of Normandy AOC and AOP takes place in Cambremer, France.
On two days you can try the 4 AOP cheese of Normandy – the Livarot, the Camembert de Normandie, the Neufchâtel and the Pont L’évêque.
Naturally all of it is accompained by a variety of cidre and calvados.

Salon Vinidôme à Clermont-Ferrand
An entire cheese aisle at the Wine Festival in Clermont-Ferrand!
For more than 25 years this Wine Festival attracts thousands of visitors who have the chance to nibble and taste on the stands of more than 400 exhibitors.
Well, this is of course originally a wine event but as we all know – where there is wine, there is cheese!
4 days of (cheese) and wine tasting at the Grande Halle d´Auvergne – make sure not to miss it!

When traveling through northern Italy and its mountainous regions of the Piedmont and Aosta Valley one type of cheese that will often cross your path is a “Toma”.
It´s a mountainous pal – pressed, and often made from skimmed or partially skimmed milk – who finds his relatives in the French and Swiss “Tomme” who are lurking on the other side of the mountain peaks.
*Vallée d’Aspe* – Fall is an excellent time to have some young and semi-aged cheeses. The animals, no matter if cow, sheep or goat that are in charge of our fall prey graze on mountain pastures or have rich lowland meadows of late spring and summer.
Our pick of the day therefore – a 4 month old raw goat´s milk pal from France.
Festival des produits laitiers 2023 -Rungis, France
The dairy and poultry festival is organized by SYCOPLA and is a meeting point for retailers and producers to meet and exchange.
At the market you will find the world´s largest cheese plate with apporximately 1.500 varieties of cheese.
Note: the festival is only open to professionals.
Gustav says nothing pairs better than 35degress and a cheese of barnyard floor quality and strongly advises to get your hands on ‘Le Petit Vinageois’, a French raw-milk delicacy from Normandy.
51st Festival du Picodon – 51 ème fête du Picodon à Saoû
On the weekend of July 16th all Sunday long – Picodon will be the showcase of this cheese festival!
Every year more than 10.000! visitors come together to celebrate goat´’s milk cheese *Picodon* and the village of Saoû.
Producers from the Drôme as well as the Ardèche department will compete for the best Picodon goat cheese right in front of town hall. Round up is the big market where everyone can bathe in cheese and other artisanal goods!

Fête de la Transhumance à Corps, France
The time of the year has come for Transhumance festivities!
This one takes place in Corps, Isère , in the Rhône-Alpes of France.
Other than eg. the transhumance in Seix and Castellane it only takes place on Friday and Saturday but will nevertheless be an incredible experience!

Transhumance en Haut-Salat, France
The time of the year has come for Transhumance festivities!
This one takes place in Seix in the Ariège department in southwestern France.
On Saturday June 10th you can watch shepherds with their cattle, sheep and dogs , listen to live music performances and I am sure will also get your hands on a lot of food and wine!
