November is the month of the pit cheese festivals! This one takes place in Talamello, a little town in Valmarecchia in the hinterlands of Rimini.

The cheeses ripen in hermetically sealed sandstone pits for about three months which gives those cheeses their specificslightly spicy and delicate taste.

Also this year the festival takes place on two consecutive sundays: November 22nd and November 29th
