Käse- und Gourmetfest Lindenberg  – a cheesemile going into its 22nd year!

Let´s have fun at the Käse- and Gourmetfest in Lindenberg this year!

It´s a cheese festival that is traditionally opened by the major of Lindenberg,  a little town near the Bodensee – and this year will open its gates on the 25th of August for all of us who want to eat cheese.

It promises to have at least 60 different cheesemongers-  and -makers to make our day.

I have to admit that I haven´t been there – but it definitely sounds like an event to go to!

7. Internationales Käsefestival – Oberstdorf, Germany

On March 17th it´s time for the 7th edition of the International Cheesefestival in Oberstdorf, Germany.

Oberstdorf , a town in Germany´s Allgäu Alps, is well known for its skiing events but more interesting to us also has still 7 working alpine dairies right in front of the door!

At the event, which in recent years attracted more than 20.000 visitors,  50 exhibitors from different European countries will set up their tables and carry you off their different flavor paths.

Of course their will also be tastings and cheesy shows alongside with music and other entertainment!

Deutscher Milch- und Käsepreis – Lindenberg, Germany

Deutscher Milch- und Käsepreis – Lindenberg, Germany

What *Formaggio in Villa* and the Italian Cheese Awards are to Italy the Deutscher Milch- und Käsepreis is to Germany.

The competition, which is organized by the German association for
artisanal milk processing (Verband für Handwerkliche Milchverarbeitung) each year attracts more than 100 producers to send in their products.

Cheeses from all over Germany are sent in to run for the golden harp and milk can and will be judged by the public as well as by a professional jury.

This year the peak tasting event will be thread into the International Cheese- and Gourmetfest in Lindenberg.

 

De Kees I Hamburger Käsemarkt

De Kees – Slow Food Hamburg & Hobenköök invite to the 2nd Hamburg Cheese market on Sunday, May 29th!

More than 50 dairies and producers from North Germany will come and let you taste their cheeses.

There will be live entertainment, discussion groups and tastings – and the whole day is dedicated to our beloved friends!
