Pastorizia in Festival Edizione Invernale – Picinisco, Italy

The Winter Edition of Pastorizia in Festival hosts the

“Italian Pasture & Alpine Grazing” Cheese Competition  which this year goes into its 3rd round!

Pascolo e Alpeggio Italiano cheese competition celebrates natural Italian cheeses made from raw milk  from free-range or semi free-range animals raised on pastures and alpine grazing lands.

Eligible cheeses include cow, sheep, goat, mixed-milk, and pure buffalo milk varieties.

Awards include:

• Pascolo e Alpeggio Italiano Prize, judged by ONAF – Organizzazione Nazionale Assaggiatori di Formaggi

• Frasca di Legno (Critics’ Prize), judged by leading national experts

• Special Press Prize, awarded by food journalists

The event takes place in Picinisco, is promoted by the Pastorizia in Festival with the award ceremony taking place on July 5 during Pastorizia in Festival.
