36th Fête de la Transhumance à Saint-Etienne-de-Tinée, France

Also the little town of Saint-Etienne-de-Tinée, in the Alpes-Maritimes department in southeastern France, has its own Fête de la Transhumance!

This year the traditional festival will take place on Saturday, June 6th with a 10am gathering at the church square where the traditional blessing will take place.

Throughout the day there will be new things to learn and see, let it be sheep shearing or cheese-making and around 5pm you will be able to try out your mountain condition and sheep walk along with the flock up to the mountain!
