Cheesemarkets as cheeses themselves come in all sizes and pop up behind all kinds of corners!

On the first Sunday of September, the Thuringian Cheese & Gourmet Market will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the open-air grounds “Am Eichenberg” of the Thuringian Open-Air Museum Hohenfelden.

The event celebrates handmade cheese and regional specialties from across Thuringia. Farm dairies from all regions of the state will present their unique creations, each crafted using individual recipes and distinctive blends of herbs and spices. Visitors can discover a wide variety of cheeses made from sheep’s, goat’s, cow’s, and even buffalo milk, ranging from fresh cheeses to aged hard varieties.

This one is a tiny one, but if you are in the area I am positive that it´s worth the stop!
