Printemps des Chèvres 2026 – Goat Spring Festival 2026
The 12th edition of the Printemps des Chèvres celebrates goat culture and traditional cheesemaking in the scenic setting of Faverges-Seythenex. It´s a family-friendly festival that offers two days of tastings, workshops, and entertainment.
Enjoy goat cheese and local specialties, meet producers and artisans, explore the craft market, and discover activities for all ages—including cheesemaking demos, live music, and children’s games.
Entry is free but reservations are recommended for weekend meals.
Here is what to expect throughout the Printemps des Chèvres weekend:
SATURDAY, APRIL 11
- Interdepartmental Goat Competition – 10:00 AM
- Presentation of Goat Breeds – 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- Demonstration of Chevrotin PDO Cheese Production – 10:30 AM
- Inauguration of the 12th Spring Goat Festival – 11:30 AM
- Lunch provided by the Spring Goat Festival Association – 12:00 PM
- Herding Dog Demonstration – 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM
- Presentation of Prize-Winning Goats and Awards Ceremony – 3:00 PM
- Goat Milking – 5:30 PM
- “Get Active on Saturday!” Dinner followed by a party hosted by the Rugby Club – 8 pm at the community hall
SUNDAY, APRIL 12
- Interdepartmental goat and sheep cheese competition – 10 am
- Demonstration of Tomme cheese making – 10:30 am
- Herding dog demonstration – 11:30 am and 4 pm
- Lunch provided by the Young Farmers – 12 pm
- Awards ceremony for the cheese and drawing competitions – 3 pm
- Goat milking – 5:30 pm
